Committees
HUNI is comprised of multiple sub-committees which all focus on different aspects of the neighborhood!
Communications The Communications Committee focuses on informing the neighborhood on what’s happening. We send out our HUNI Happenings e-blast bi-monthly as well as consistently update our Facebook page.
Education The Education Committee works with our local schools to figure out how we can best support them, and how to allocate our dedicated budget line-items.
Events The Events Committee sets up our White Table Cloth dinner and works with neighborhood leaders who put on the Highland Haunt and 4th of July Parade.
Good Neighbor Agreement The GNA Committee works with new and existing restaurants and bars to create plans which honor our unique layout and mix between our residents and restaurants.
Membership The Membership Committee is in charge of running our HUNI Membership program — a calendar year membership that offers discounts at local businesses and raffle tickets at our monthly HUNI Hours.
Planning Community Development One of HUNI’s busiest groups, the PCD Committee works on all development happening in our area. If you’re building, remodeling or just wondering what’s happening as the landscape of our neighborhood is rapidly changing, check out a PCD Meeting, the second Tuesday of each month.
Social The Social Committee is in charge of setting up our monthly HUNI Hours. Rotating through many local restaurants, it’s a great way to meet neighbors, business owners and HUNI Board Members. Held the last Tuesday of the month at 5:30, it’s a guaranteed fun time.
Sustainable Highland Sustainable Highland is in it for the long haul. They are committed to putting on community events to ensure that Highland continues to be a Certified Outstanding Sustainable Neighborhood as recognized by the City of Denver.
Volunteer The Volunteer Committee mobilizes volunteers whenever it’s time for HUNI to pitch in for community events. Whether it’s our own Home Plate or neighborhood events like the 4th of July parade, we’re always looking for help!
